Leading travel and tourism events organiser, Reed Travel Exhibitions has announced today the rescheduling of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) previously set to commence in April 2020. The ATM will now be held from 16th to 19th May 2021, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, following the holy month of Ramadan and the Eid Al Fitr celebrations.
According to the organisers, they have been continuously monitoring the impact of COVID-19 on the travel industry as well as on society in general considering the changing global situation.
"Many meetings took place with the Dubai World Trade Centre and we reviewed other options to organize an event in the last quarter. However, after consultation with our key stakeholders and after listening to our Industry, ultimately it became apparent that the best course of action, and with everyones best interests in mind, is to postpone the event to 2021," stated Reed Travel Exhibitions.
Conveying that decisions like this are never taken lightly, Reed Travel Exhibitions informs that various discussions were conducted at the highest level, both internally and externally with local and federal government, partners, sponsors, exhibitors and attendees, all of whom endorsed the organisers evaluation of the current situation and decision to act once again.
Considering the current situation, ATMs organiser stated: "We appreciate that this is disappointing news, however everyones health and safety is our top priority. We are fully aware of the important role that ATM plays for industry professionals right across the Middle East region and beyond, and we believe it is our responsibility to deliver a safe and successful event when we are able to do so."
With the live show rescheduled to 2021, Reed Travel Exhibitions gives word that they will keep everyone informed and connected. Positive business and networking opportunities will be delivered to the Middle Easts vast travel and tourism community through the event.
Furthermore, the organisers have announced that an ATM Virtual Event will be held from 1st to 3rd June 2020.
