Minibus services to start in Malé City within the next four months

Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has awarded Maldives Transport Contracting Company (MTCC) a contract to introduce minibus services to Malé City within the next four months. (120 days)

The contract was signed by Minister Nahula and CEO of MTCC, Hassan Shah, at a ceremony held at Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation headquarters.

Speaking to the press after the ceremony, Minister Nahula said that MTCC is required to introduce minibus serviced to Malé City with in the next 120 days.

"I believe the introduction of minibus services will be a huge convenience to the members of the general public," said the Minister of Transport.

The new Maldivian government had announced plans for several vital transport overhauls to improve domestic transport. The introduction of minibus services had been one of the administrations first 90-day goals.
