Maldives
Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has kicked off promotions in
their first travel trade show of the year, South Asian Travel and Tourism
Exchange (SATTE) 2020 in Delhi, India.
According to
MMPRC, 28 participants from 19 companies represents Maldives at the fair held
from January 8th till January 10th.
The three-day
long fair is attended by 1000 exhibitors from 50 countries and proves to be one
of the leading B2B travel exchange shows held in India attracting more than
30,00 travel and tourism professionals to attend the show.
The 60 feet
stand to represent Maldives at the fair was designed to show the unique
scenarios of the underwater restaurants located in the Maldives. A tasting corner
is included in the stall to offer Maldives traditional foods such as Bondi
and Theluli Bambukeyo to the visitors.
Moreover, a
social media campaign will be held at the stall to promote Maldives through
activities such as taking pictures in a photobooth and uploading it in social media, In addition to distributing goodie bags to the visitors. Lastly a draw will be taken
to pick a lucky winner to vacation at Maldives and experience the Sunnyside of
Life first hand.
India is among the two countries that the greatest number of tourists visit the Maldives. Last year 166,015 people visited the Maldives from India.
