SkyUp Airlines flight to carry expatriates and tourists from the Maldives

Ukrainian charter and low-cost airline, SkyUp will be operating a special flight from Velana International Airport to fly expatriates and tourists back to their home countries.

According to Maldives Ministry of Tourism, those who wishes to return back are advised to notify the Ministry directly. Flight PQ 5906 will be landing in Male on 8th May. All passengers flying aboard this flight are kindly reminded that the Maldives Police Service will only permit vessels/vehicles carrying passengers with confirmed tickets from their respective locations to airport.

As announced previously, Ministry requests all resorts, guesthouses and island councils to cooperate Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourist Police to extend all the necessary assistance to the passengers in reaching the airport.

Various airlines across the world has been operating repatriation flights to transport those who desire to go back home amid COVID-19 pandemic. As the number of positive cases in Maldives has reached 557, the government continues to strengthen relief efforts to combat COVID-19.
