Kanuhura Maldives has become part of the worlds largest hotel alliances exclusive Ultratravel Collection with Sun Resorts joining the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA).

Sun Resorts, headquarted in Mauritus, with over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry and five luxury resorts in two of the worlds most coveted holiday destinations, Mauritius and the Maldives, you can rest assured that you are in good hands when you stay at any of their incredible destinations. They offer utterly sublime experiences for our guests at each of our paradisiacal resorts which are located on some of the finest beaches in the world.

"Sun Resorts has a strong reputation among regular travellers to the Indian Ocean, but joining the alliance will enable us to spread that reputation to other markets more efficiently than we can do on our own. We will instantly gain access to a huge customer base of international travellers in markets such as China, India and North America, which are difficult and expensive for us to access as a small independent brand, but which are generating growing demand into the Indian Ocean region," David Anderson, CEO of Sun Resorts, quoted.

As the worlds largest alliance of independent hotel brands, Global Hotel Alliance, founded in 2004, brings together 30+ brands with more than 550+ hotels spread across 75 countries in its portfolio. Which means theres a fit for every travel need, from iconic European palaces, overwater Maldivian villas, safari escapes, and sybaritic spa retreats (all perfect for honeymoons or other trips ã deux), to business-friendly hotels perfectly situated in the centre of the most global hubs. Their award-winning loyalty programme, DISCOVERY, provides 14 million members exclusive opportunities to immerse themselves in local culture wherever they travel.

"Over half of our member stays in new brands are now for leisure, often in luxury resort destinations and at premium rates. Mauritius and the Maldives are hugely desirable destinations for our customers, and we know that Sun Resorts will be a popular addition to the alliance," Hartley said.

The integration of Sun Resorts into the alliance will be completed by the third quarter(Q3) of 2019. Two of Sun Resorts properties, namely Long Beach in Mauritius and Kanuhura in the Maldives, will become part of Ultratravel Collection, an exclusive portfolio of the alliances most luxurious properties.
