Allied Insurance Company of the Maldives Introduces New Insurance Package

Allied Insurance Company of the Maldives has introduced a new insurance package called 'Allied Travellers Protection Plan in the celebration of their 33rd anniversary.


Allied Travellers Protection Plan was launched during the Vacations Expo by Marketing Manager for Allied Insurance, Mr Niushad Shareef. Designed for the traveller, the total insurance limit has been exceeded along with insurance options.


Travellers ensure a wide range of coverage, from trip cancellation to baggage loss, Travellers also covers natural disasters, Schengen visa coverage and emergency medical expenses. 


"You can also apply for additional coverage if you wish to experience adventure sports." Allied Travellers Protection Plan


"The insurance plan also ensures that it covers loss of finances incurred during a robbery or misplacement, along with 24 hrs medical assistance", stated Niushad.


Allied Insurance has introduced many new packages during their Special Event held to celebrate their 33rd anniversary. During the event held in January, Allied unveiled builders insurance aimed towards those working in the construction field.


In 1985, Allied Insurance Company of the Maldives started off as a joint venture between Commercial Union Assurance Company, UK and State Trading Organisation (STO), the nationwide leader of all commercial activities in the Maldives. In early 1987, STO bought back shares of Commercial Union Assurance chartering Allied Insurance to continue doing the business as a subsidiary of the organisation.


Today with local management, the company is one of the largest financial institutes and the most prominent insurance brand contributing to the growth and development of the country. Allied has had tremendous growth over the past decades, both regarding the volume and business profitability.
