MATATO Opens Registration for Travel Weekly Destination Showcase 2018

Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) is now accepting registration forms for the Travel Weekly Destination Showcase which will be held on November 7 at the Le Meridian Piccadilly in central London.

The Destination Showcase 2018 which is set to take place right after the World Travel Market (WTM) London, is an event hosted by Travel Weekly, the most successful travel trade title in the UK, in association with European Tourism Association (ETA) and European Cities Marketing (ECM).

Each participating tourism body will be able to showcase their destination at a dedicated space where they can meet face-to-face with the front line travel agents in order to gain insights on the UK travel industry to promote their destination as well as launch booking incentives to drive bookings. Delegates get a chance to engage and communicate with the exhibitors in a relaxed manner during this showcase.

According to a statement by MATATO, who have signed up as a gold partner for the event, interested candidates can submit the completed registration forms before October 11. Registration costs USD 1,500 and includes counter space along with one exhibitor badge. Each additional participant has to pay an extra USD 200.

Seven partners will be allowed to participate in the event along with the officials of MATATO. The partners will have access to more than 150 travel agents and have their logos featured on Aspire, an exclusive membership club for the sellers of luxury travel.

Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) is a non-profit organisation that has been working the last ten years to foster and promotes SMEs of local travel agents.

The association has engaged themselves in various activities over the years from advocacy, training, and workshops, travel trade fairs in many parts of the world, media FAM trips, government lobbying, recognition programs such as Awards, travel conferences and forums, publications, destination marketing, whistle-blower programs, representation and much more.
