On Sunday (August 22), IndiGo has operated its first direct between Maldives and Hyderabad.
The airline has scheduled three weekly services between Hyderabad and Malé on the days; Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Starting October 15, flight frequency will increase to four weekly services, said the airline.
IndiGo flight 6E 8108 departed from GMR Hyderabad International Airport at 2.20 PM (IST) and arrived at Maldives’ Velana International Airport at 4.30 PM (IST). The return flight 6E 8107 from Malé will arrive in Hyderabad at 20.50 PM (IST).
Hyderabad was announced previously as one of the new routes to Maldives together with Chennai. Chennai-Malé direct flight is scheduled to operate on August 25, 2021.
With the new additions, IndiGo now connects Maldives and India via total 6 routes; Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Cochin.
