Ooredoo Maldives today announced the much-anticipated Ooredoo Fun Run 2023, set to take place in Hulhumale in December'. In a special press conference, held on 5th November 2023 at Ooredoo Maldives Headquarters, the company opened its registrations for enthusiastic runners on Moolee via http://ore.do/funrun2023. The registration will close on 30th November 2023.

The press conference was joined by Chief Commercial Officer of Ooredoo Maldives, Hussain Niyaz, and Managing Director of Stabisys Maldives, Ibrahim Nihad who is collaborating as the Premium Partner for Ooredoo Fun Run 2023. During the press conference, Ooredoo launched the first ever drone race to be held in the Maldives – Ooredoo Drone Race in addition to the exciting activities planned for this year's event to make it a day filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories for all participants.

Ooredoo Drone Race 2023

Ooredoo Maldives is thrilled to introduce an exhilarating addition to this year's event - the Ooredoo Drone Race. Taking place in Hulhumale’ during the morning hours of 22nd December 2023, the Ooredoo Drone Race promises to add a new dimension of excitement to the festivities of the Ooredoo Fun Run. Drone enthusiasts will have the opportunity to witness and participate in this exciting competition, making Ooredoo Fun Run 2023 an event like no other. Held in partnership with Ooredoo Fun Run Premium Partner, Stabisys Maldives – the authorized distributor of DJI in the Maldives, Ooredoo Drone Race will be the first-ever Drone Race to be held in the Maldives. This thrilling timed race challenges participants to navigate through a specially designed drone racing track that includes obstacles and hoops to reach the finish line in the fastest time. Registration details for Ooredoo Drone Race will be announced soon on Ooredoo Maldives' official social media channels.

Ooredoo Fun Run kits will be available in two categories: 

•Standard kits priced at MVR 100 comes with Fun Run T-shirt and wristband.

•Fun kits priced at MVR 200 includes a Fun Run T-shirt, wristband, cloth bag, eyeglasses and a multipurpose bandana. 

Ooredoo Fun Run – The Happiest Run in the Maldives is a fun-filled 5K run designed to be enjoyed by families and friends of all ages. The run is set to be held in Hulhumale’ on 22nd December 2023. As an untimed and fun-filled 5K, the event welcomes both new and experienced runners to join in the excitement. Each kilometre covered will be celebrated with a unique fun station with colours, water and fun obstacles. 

As the run is not a timed event, participants can choose to walk, jog, run or dance to the finish line, where their efforts will be celebrated in style with a foam party, finisher medals & a music show.
