The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi Maldives has won the title of leading family resort in the Indian Ocean at the Annual World Travel Awards; Africa and the Indian Ocean which was held recently at the Durban International Convention Centre, (Durban ICC) in South Africa.


The World Travel Awards Africa & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony 2018 was the most prestigious travel and tourism event of the year which brought together the leading figureheads and VIPs from across Africa and the Indian Ocean. 




The evening also was part of the silver jubilee World Travel Awards Grand Tour 2018, the World Travel Awards 25th anniversary of honouring excellence in the international hospitality industry. At the red carpet event, the formal announcement of victory of the participants and the stage presentation of the World Travel Award took place along with filmed media interviews.
