MTCC Halts Ferry Services Between Capital City Male and Hulhumale

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced that the company will be halting all its ferry and express speedboat services except for its premium link ferry services between capital city Male and Hulhumale from today onwards.

In a press statement issued on 4th November 2018, Sunday,  MTCC revealed that the decision was made due to the opening of the Sina-Male Bridge (China-Maldives Friendship Bridge) between Male City and Hulhumale and that the company will be bringing major changes to ferry services and schedules. 

The company will also be ceasing the express speedboat services and limiting its ferry services to the airport island Hulhule.

Although the company will stop its normal ferry services and express ferry services between Male City and Hulhumale on 5th November 2018, midnight, it will continue to provide premium link ferry services between the two cities as all as bus transportation services within Hulhumale.



Further updates regarding the ferry and speedboat schedules will be uploaded on the official website of MTCC as well as social media, as they come.
