BML opens Business Centre in Addu City

The branch in Addu is the first of more such Business Centres to be unveiled throughout Maldives, as part of BML's investment to support small and medium businesses.


BML also revealed that in the near future, more centres will be opened in capital Male and reclaimed suburb Hulhumale in Kaafu Atoll, and Kulhudhuffushi in Haa Dhaalu Atoll.


At the Business Centre, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) can get assistance from Relationship Managers for various banking requirements such as loan advisory services, identifying financial requirements and carrying out application processes conveniently.


While speaking at the opening ceremony held in Hithadhoo, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Aishath Noordeen stated that "Addu is a key economic hub in the country and we are delighted to support the business community in this city with the opening of our first dedicated Business Centre. Our expert team here will provide the best suited financial solutions to business customers".


Additionally, BML opened a Currency Exchange Counter at Gan International Airport on Tuesday.


According to BML, this is to cater to foreign exchange needs of tourists. Services will be available from the counter as per international flight schedules.


The national bank of Maldives aims to support individuals, SMEs and other community initiatives with their nationwide network of branches, relationship managers, self-service banking centres, ATMs, point of sale merchants and agents across the 20 atolls, complemented by digital banking services.
