Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, a high-end brand belonging to
the Accor group, has announced the launch of an international partnership
with the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival (MJF). Following the great
success of a first European tour in 2019, the partnership between Fairmont and
the MJF will be reinforced at the end of January, thanks to specific musical
programs and events, organized in 13 establishments around the world.
For over a century, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts addresses around the world
have provided their guests with unforgettable moments. From the famous
bed-in for peace by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, which took place at the Fairmont
The Queen Elizabeth in Montreal, to the Ramones punk-rock concert, held in the
reception hall of the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle, the Fairmont brand has
served as the setting for some of the most significant events in the history of
music. The Fairmont Le Montreux Palace also played an essential role in
this musical epic. Located in the heart of Switzerland, where the Montreux
Jazz Festival takes place every year, the hotel welcomes artists,
festival-goers and other music lovers who come to discover emblematic places,
such as the "House of Jazz",

Fairmont, which strives to promote the most talented artists, has teamed up
with the iconic Montreux Jazz Festival to echo the passion its customers have
for music. After having organized a first European tour, which allowed the
singer of nu-soul, Jalen N'Gonda, to perform in four Fairmont establishments,
the brand is today delighted to strengthen its partnership with the Montreux
Jazz Festival at the international. This Fairmont World Tour 2020 will
offer customers around the world a taste of the atmosphere of this famous music
festival.
After convincing festival-goers and jury members during the 2019 edition of the
MJF, two musicians , Jalen N'Gonda and Bobby
Bazini, were invited to participate in this international tour. They will
perform in 13 exceptional Fairmont addersses around the world.
From January 29 to February 12, 2020, Jalen N'Gonda will make a second tour
with Fairmont, and will perform in six establishments in South and North
America. Canadian musician Bobby Bazini, inspired by blues / soul, will
tour six Fairmont hotels in Europe and Asia, from February 22 to March 5, ahead
of the release of his new album Move Away, scheduled for
May. At the conclusion of their respective tours, these two artists will
meet on March 7 at the Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, for a last
"beef". Jalen N'Gonda and Bobby Bazini have also joined the
nursery of the non-profit Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation (MJAF), which
identifies and promotes young artists.
