Mein Schiff 6 anchors at the Port of Colombo

The Port of Colombo has welcomed the Mein Schiff 6 last morning, on her maiden call in Sri Lanka. Having arrived at 0600 hrs. from Mumbai in India, the vessel sailed at 2300, heading for Port Kelang, her next port of call.

Operated by The TUI Cruises Fleet, the Mein Schiff 6 is a sister vessel of Mein Schiff 3 and Mein Schiff 5, which have both called Colombo in the past.

The vessel was built at The Meyer Turku Shipyard in Turku, Finland and was launched on 3rd January 2017. Her length overall is 295 m and her draft is 8.25 m. 

She has a passenger capacity of 2534, supported by a crew of 1030.

The ship is equipped with 1250 staterooms on 15 decks, most of them with private balcony. A new feature are the diamond suites, large family staterooms and three several suite categories. All staterooms are designed very bright, friendly and modern.

During holidays many families are guests aboard. They appreciate the relaxed atmosphere, the possibility to do sports and the large variety of fine dining options. Almost all food, beverages and gratuities are already included in the cruise price. 

To commemorate her maiden call, a plaque exchange was carried out between The SL Ports Authority and the Vessels Command.
