Crown and Champa Resorts, a prominent and successful resort chain, has announced the appointment of Mohamed Solah, a seasoned tourism veteran, as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Solah brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in the hospitality industry, making him a fitting leader for the organization.

With a distinguished career that spans several years, Solah is one of the few Maldivians to have served as a General Manager of hospitality establishments outside of the Maldives. Before joining Crown and Champa Resorts, he held the position of General Manager at Zaya Hospitality Group, showcasing his capability in managing diverse hospitality operations.

His journey in the industry began in 2002 when he started as a resort receptionist and telephone operator at Meeru Island Resort. Over the years, Solah steadily climbed the ranks, taking on various managerial roles throughout the 2000s. His dedication and hard work earned him recognition as one of the youngest General Managers in the Maldives while he briefly managed the Komandoo Island Resort, which is also part of the Champa portfolio.

Solah’s academic accomplishments complement his extensive hands-on experience. While employed at Meeru Island Resort, he seized the opportunity to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality. His education was further enhanced by valuable practical experience gained during his time working in Malaysia and Seychelles. Following his graduation, he rejoined Meeru Island Resort, taking on roles as its Front Office Manager and later as Guest Services Manager.

Meeru Island Resort, which belongs to the Champa Group of Resorts, has long been recognized for its exceptional service and stunning location. Solah's leadership is expected to strengthen the brand's commitment to excellence in the tourism sector as he steps into this pivotal role at Crown and Champa Resorts.
