Mariyam Maaisha Shujau has been appointed as the Secretary General of National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM). 

Maaisha was appointed during the10th Executive Board Meeting of NBAM held in early October 2023. She has been among the key figures in handling major events in the Maldives and has been an executive board member of NBAM since 2021. Her expertise in sales combined with years of experience in the tourism and boating industry makes her more than qualified to take on her new role as the Secretary General of NBAM. 

National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) is the apex body representing the boating industry of Maldives formed in 2007.

With over a decade working towards the development of the industry, NBAM annually hosts the largest marine exhibition held in the Maldives namely Maldives Marine Expo as a uniform platform and a marketplace for marine industry businesses. The Annual Maldives Boating Awards celebrates the best of service and products from the Marine Industry. This year's Boating Awards is scheduled to be held in December 2023.

NBAM also focuses on capacity building programmes and conducts business and safety training annually to enhance the marine industry brands and businesses.
