UAE-based hospitality brand TIME Hotels has announced its expansion into Asia with the introduction of two new brands, HALO by TIME and VIVI by TIME, at the Future Hospitality Summit held in Dubai this week. Both brands are set to debut in the Maldives, with an expected launch in the fourth quarter of 2026.

This move highlights TIME Hotels' ongoing growth, adding to its existing properties across the UAE, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and Liberia. The entry into the Maldives represents an exciting new chapter for the brand.

VIVI by TIME, a lifestyle-oriented brand, will be situated on Hankede Island in the Addu Atoll, the southernmost atoll in the Maldives. It will offer 75 rooms across six stories, complete with stunning sea views and top-notch facilities. Meanwhile, HALO by TIME will provide an upscale experience with 150 rooms over eight stories, featuring custom overwater villas designed for watching sunrises and sunsets.

To facilitate this ambitious venture, TIME Hotels has teamed up with the Maldives Fund Management Corporation (MFMC). Founded in 2019 and entirely state-owned, MFMC focuses on achieving national development goals in the Maldives by boosting private sector investment and overcoming challenges in the local financial system.

Mohamed Awadalla, CEO of TIME Hotels, shared his excitement about the expansion:

“This is a significant moment for TIME Hotels as we reveal our plans for growth with two new sub-brands and hotels opening in the Maldives. Our inaugural entry into this region is a major milestone, and I am eager to continue our positive momentum in new areas.”

Ahmed Nazim, Managing Director of MFMC, commented, “We are delighted to collaborate with such a respected GCC-based company to develop these impressive hotels in the Addu Atoll. This partnership is a prime example of the progress we aspire to make in the Maldives, and we look forward to seeing these hotels come to fruition under TIME’s management.”
