With this new partnership "Stagecore" have announced that they will be presenting a custom designed setup at SATA Gala Retreat at Equator Village based in southern heart of Maldives , Addu City.

SATA is the first ever regional travel awards endorsed by multi national associations, providing the tourism sector of the South Asian region with recognition towards their facilities and service excellence. It aims to encourage and raise service standards in the regions tourism industry.

SATA received over 450 nominations from Bhutan, Maldives, Sri Lanka, India and Nepal for the 2017 edition. Properties and services nominated for SATA competed in 39 major categories. Silver titles are honored for the best from each destination and Gold are awarded for Regions best.

The awards first edition, which wrapped up with a gala ceremony at the iconic Mount Lavinia Hotel in Sri Lanka, saw an overwhelming support with more than 260 nominations. Major travel media organisations, including Maldives Insider, Asian Traveller, Asian Geographic, Asian Diver and Floating Asia were appointed as media partners of SATA 2016.

SATA 2017 Gala Retreat will be ongoing for 3 days starting from 27th October with SATA Opportunity (networking event), SATA Gala & Awards and a Tour of Addu City for the participants. The government, Addu City Council and all relevant authorities and organizations have joined together and assured there full support to make SATA hosted in Addu City to be a great celebration of the hospitality industry.
